Quick Scan Whole Body Monitor (QS-WBM)

RT19RSSD

QS-WBM is an in-vivo monitoring system for rapid and efficient measurement of internal radioactive contamination of individuals due to High Energy Photon (HEP) emitters. It extremely useful for in vivo monitoring of workers at Nuclear Power Plant and other nuclear facilities handling HEP emitters like fission & activation products. The system has two large area NaI(Tl) detectors and hence the system can accommodate 99% of the body dimensions of an adult individual. The QS-WBM mainly consists of four components: QS-WBM Shield enclosure, Rectangular shaped large size NaI(Tl) detectors, Multi-Channel Analyzers and associated electronics, local Wi-Fi network connecting different peripherals of the system and QuSDA WBM software (ver. 1.0). Monitoring time can be set to as low as 1 min. making it high throughput system (minimum 30 persons per h). The system is designed to achieve sensitivity comparable with conventional WBM for a 1-minute counting time. QS-WBM performs all steps from monitoring of an individual to internal dose (CED) evaluation and report generation.

QS-WBM system is provided along with BARC reference BOMAB phantom and stand for calibration of the system. It also includes integration of BMI machine to automatically measure the height & weight of the individual being monitored.

QUSDA WBM SOFTWARE

QS-WBM-Software QS-WBM-Software

The software has the following provisions:
a) Registration of the subjects in manual mode or in auto mode
b) Type / reason for monitoring (Routine, Special, Task related, Superannuation monitoring etc).
c) Height and Weight measurement of subject– through BMI machine
d) Subject photo during monitoring
e) Display spectral data as well as CPM for individual detector (1 & 2) and also the summed spectra.
f) Peripheral setting for Auto and Manual mode and their default values
g) Stops monitoring after pre-programmed counting time is over
g) Information about monitored individual’s personal & monitoring history.
k) Estimate intake and committed effective dose (CED) for 137Cs and 60Co following inhalation and / or ingestion
m) Whole Body Counting report generation – two types of reports are generated with flexibility to change the reporting format.

  •  Generate Go (below threshold level) and No-Go (above the threshold level) report–for operator reference
  • Generate monitoring report
